Fragment of post medieval copper alloy furniture escutcheon consisting of a central plate decorated with a central punched annulet within a larger annulet surrounded by six punched annulets within larger annulets, creating a foliate motif. A lobed terminal with engraved foliate decoration and pierced by a rivet-hole projecting from one side. Projecting at a right angle is a moulded foliate terminal which as been chamfered on the reverse. In the centre of the reverse are the stamped initials I G.
