Incomplete medieval to post medieval (c. AD 1350 - 1650) copper alloy buckle. It has a D-sectioned strap bar. The pin is missing. One complete D-shaped loop projects from one side of the strap bar. It has three transverse engraved lines on the outer edge. On the other side of the strap bar the remains of the other loop consist of two stubs terminating in old breaks.
Similar examples are discussed by Whitehead, R, 2003, p. 53, nos. 289 - 290.
