Medieval copper alloy rotary key for a casket. The ovoid-sectioned shank is hollow-ended, collared lozengiform bow, rectangular bit with rectangular cut-out in outside edge. Length (unbent) 49mm. Extant width of bow 16.5mm. Bit 7.5 x 7mm. 12th- 13th century.
