Post medieval copper alloy double-loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1720. The buckle has a central, narrowed rectangular-sectioned strap bar. Where the strap bar crosses the frame, it is incised with grooves following the line of the strap bar. The buckle has rounded ends and trefoil sides.
Similar examples are discussed in Whitehead, R, 2003, p. 70 - 71, nos. 440 - 442.
