An unidentified iron object, possibly a nail or stud of uncertain date. The object has a pyramid-shaped head and a roughly rectangular, tapering shaft which has a vane-like projection 11mm below the head. Overall, the object measures 53.5 mm long, 24 mm wide and 14.8 mm thick. The head measures 14.8 mm wide by 10.1 mm thick. The shaft is 8 mm wide below the head, tapering to 3 mm at the tip. The projection is 14mm wide. The object weighs 17.9 g. The object is black in colour and has an even patina.
