Silver coin. Thin worn hammered coin, possibly a sixpence of an indeterminate post-medieval ruler, issue of c.1550-1650. Traces of an outer circle appear on both sides, but with no further diagnostic detail discernible. The flan is curled, creased, and bears extensive deposits of copper alloy corrosion, though whether base metal exfiltrated from within or from an associated object buried in close proximity is uncertain.
