A fragment of Bronze Age copper alloy, probably from knife or blade. The fragment has a symmetrical, shallow, pointed oval cross section giving two cutting edges. One end is rounded and has a circular hole through its centre, whilst there is an abrupt break across the other. There is significant damage around the edges. Both faces have a shiny dark brown patina.

The fragment has few diagnostic features, but holes often feature at the hilt of blades and knives. See for example a more complete knife recorded with the PAS from Dorset (DOR-761B1C), a sword fragment from Cornwall (CORN-FE2E0D) and a sword fragment in a hoard from Essex (ESS-9B7343). Similar holes are also occasionally seen on razors, for example SUR-E3AEB2 from Oxfordshire, but the cross-section of the present object suggests that it is more likely to be a blade fragment.
