Post-medieval copper alloy shoe buckle with rectangular frame, pin, stud chape (stud missing) and iron spindle. The reverse of the chape is stamped with the maker's initials WR, to be read with the stud facing downwards. The frame, with serrated edges and a moulded groove along the sides and edges, is similar to Whitehead 2003, no. 644. Overall length 35.9mm. Length and width of frame 31.2 and 24.3mm. c.1690 - c.1720.
