A copper alloy single looped buckle of medieval date. The buckle has a sub-rectangular loop with expanded outer edges. The front edge is decorated with five transverse grooves one of which would have acted as a rest for the pin. The strap bar is narrowed and offset. The object has a dark green patina and appears to have been tinned.
