A ceramic fragment of a vessel dating to the medieval period. The object is a fragment of the rim and body of a glazed vessel. The rim is rounded and curves inwards while the lower body of the fragment curves out forming an S-shaped profile. The outer face of the object is covered with a patchy dark black to mid-green glaze, with the fabric showing through as a compacted orange. The internal face of the object is mid-orange with some flecks of glaze adhering. The internal fabric of the object is evenly fired with a dark grey colour and flecks of shiny inclusions possibly mica.
