A the top of th emount is a human face with large pointed hair, side curls or sideburns, large rounded cheeks and small round eye. Below this is the body of the mount which is circular with a raised border and two rivet holes in the centre, one of which remains filled. The back face is udecorrated but the reverse rivet has a circular rivet with a flattened round head. Attached to the rivet is a separate copper-alloy rove, which is flat and circular. The mount is a motttled orangey-brown with light green patches.

Meausrements: 40.2mm long, 23.6mm wide and 6.2g in weight

Discussion:

Rivet and rove arrangement almost identical to SF-C8BCB0 which is dated 1500-1700 (via a comparison in PAS Treasure Annual Report 2005/6, p. 361, no. 573), all three of these mounts show a face with large hair made of raised ridges. SF-C8BCB0 and its compartive example in the PAS Treasure Annual Report 2005/6 do not show large body however.
