A copper-alloy buckle of Medieval date. The frame is as Meols Type C with trapezoidal frame that has an offset and narrowed bar, and expanded rectangular outer edge. The outer edge has a central pin rest comprising three transverse grooves, with single grooves at top and bottom where the outer edge meets the sides. Hinging around the bar is a separately cast copper-alloy buckle plate. This is retangular in form with rectangular frame recesses and pin slot, and a single central circular rivet at the attachment end. The pin is missing due to old breaks. The entire object measures 22.40mm in width, 36.69mm in length, 4.88mm in thickness, and 7.72g in weight. It is of Medieval date, c.14th century AD.
