A complete silver denarius of Trajan (AD 98-117) dating c. AD 107-108 (Reece Period 5). Reverse; COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI, Dacian trophy of arms, shields, spears and swords at base. RIC vol. II, p. 254, no. 147b var. The obverse type with a draped left shoulder is not recorded in RIC. The coin is preserved in extremely good condition, with little evidence of corrosion or post-depositional damage.
