An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of early-medieval date. The strap end is broadly triangular in plan and has a worn zoomorphic terminal at one end while the opposing fastening end is now broken and incomplete. The strap end is decorated on the upper face with a simple floral design, with traces of silvering retained This strap end can be catagorised as Thomas' (2003) Class A Type 2 (patterned) and is likely to date from the 9th to early 10th centuiry AD.
