Incomplete cast copper alloy single-loop buckle frame with concave sides and narrowed, recessed strap bar. The rounded outer edge has a single-lobed knop, which is hollow at the back. The back of the frame is internally bevelled. Small patches of wear at the centre of the pin bar and on the knop indicate where the pin, now missing, was attached and rested. The frame is 28 mm long, 25 mm wide and 3.4 mm thick.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle on page 28, no.145, which is dated from c.1500-1650.
