A copper alloy Post Medieval mount dating to the period c AD1600 -1700. The mount has a broadly triangular central section with rounded corners, small projections at the centre of the angled sides and an openwork trefoil at the centre. There are projecting pointed knops, one from each end, the one at the point of the triangle comes to a point at the end while the other is rounded. The mount has two integral pointed attachment spikes on the flat back, both of which are broken. The mount is 24.6mm long, 12.3mm wide and 1.8mm thick, excluding the spikes, 4.8mm including, it weighs 1.22g.
