A ceramic sherd from a Roman vessel dating to the period c. AD 250 - 410. The fabric is heavily abraded but appears to be Black Burnished ware south-west variant (fabric 1b). It is dark grey in colour with a patch of oxidisation on the inner surface. It exhibits abundant fine sand temper. The sherd is a handle, probably from a Type 21 "Fish-dish".
