An incomplete composite stud dating to the Roman period. The stud head is circular in plan and hemispherical in section. It possesses a lead-alloy core covered with a convex sheet of copper-alloy. Iron corrosion products representing the remains of the stem adhere to the base of the lead-alloy core. The head measures 27mm in diameter.
