Fragment, copper alloy Late Iron Age/early Roman brooch fragment of a Colchester one-piece type. D section bow with small rectangular wings and part of the spring. The bow tapers to the stub of a possibly pierced catch plate (remnants remaining), and is slightly bent at its end. Suggested date: Late Iron Age to Early Roman, 25-60AD. It is 66.17mm long, 14.12mm wide, 5.58mm thick (crest of bow) and weighs 8.10gms.
