An incomplete copper-alloy unidentified object of uncertain date and function.
This object is sub-rectangular in plan and 'C'-shaped in cross-section. The front has inscribed decoration composed of raised ridges, some forming linear lines and others forming a chevron. Two circular rivet holes have a diameter of 2.9mm. The front has flecks of iron staining and traces of a white metal coating. The rear face has a small deposit of iron at one end. The straight end appears to be complete and the opposite end is in the form of a break.
This object is reddish brown and green with a patchy green patina. The break is old.
