A complete cast copper-alloy medieval (AD c.1250-c.1350) spectacle buckle. The buckle is oval with a central bar and has a double D-shaped frame. The frame is bevelled and undecorated. The strap bar is narrowed and has lozenge-shaped lobed projections at either end. The back is flat and undecorated. The object has a black patina and is in fairly good condition. Overall the object measures 36.85mm long, 48.31mm wide and 2.85mm wide. It weighs 9.86g.
