A fragment from an Early Medieval small-long brooch dating from AD 500 - 600. Part of the headplate and bow survives. The head plate is flat and plain, but the edges are missing. There is a facet across the top of the bow, which is corroded and incomplete. On the reverse is the remains of a single lug to attach the pin. The brooch has a grey patina. The fragment is 29.7mm long, 19.1mm wide and 5.8mm thick. 4.39g.
