An incomplete post-Medieval lead alloy cloth seal probably from Colchester and dating from the reign of James I, 1603 - 1625.

This is two discs connected by a joining strip, probably from a four disc seal.

Side 1: Worn and illegible

Side 2: [ ]A[ ]; Rivet protruding through. Crowned thistle with I R at sides

Length: 16.9mm; width: 16.4mm; thickness: 3.4mm. Weight: 3.35g.
