An incomplete and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (c. 1600-c. 1700).
One end is missing and the edges are abraded.
This mount is lozenge-shaped in plan and particularly small. It is convex at the front and flat at the rear. There is possibly a design at the front but it is unclear. The rear face has the stubs of two integral rivets or spikes, one at each end. These are circular in cross-section.
This mount is reddish brown at the front with traces of a white metal coating and green at the rear.
