METAL WORKING DEBRIS

Unique ID: NLM-C97914

Object type certainty: Possibly
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Silver possible metalworking debris. A dense fragment of solidified melt of a silvery hue. This may be silver, though whether it represents deliberate working or the accidental inclusion of an object in a bonfire is uncertain. The latter is perhaps more likely, as a surprising range of fragmentary silver items of Victorian and later date have been reported as field finds, and must therefore have been discarded without regard to the intrinsic value of the material. Suggested date: Unknown, 43-1900.

Weight: 9.27gms
