An incomplete cast copper alloy terret of late Iron Age or Roman date (300BC-AD 100).
The surviving element opf the terret is D shaped in cross section, is 45.51mm long, 10.62mm at its widest, tapering inwards to 7.50mm. The resulting triangular groove appears to have incised striations. These may be decorative as there are even spaces between the incised striations. There appears to be some further incised striations on the top of the hoop in a diamond shape. The partial terret has broken where it would have connected to the other sides of the hoop. The terret has a mid green patina which is pitted in places.
