A Post Medieval cast lead alloy button (AD 1600-1800). The button is very worn and pitted. The button is biconvex in shape, the base of the button is flatter with the remains of an iron loop, now lost.The button measures 14.7mm diameter, 13.2mm thick and weighs 10.9 grams. Similar buttons are illustrated in Read 2005, pg 22-23, and listed as Medieval, 13th-14th century, though these are in copper alloy.
