A complete, Early Imperial, Roman period C1st-3rd, struck or hammered, copper alloy probable As coin. Obverse: Vague head outline. Reverse: Seated female figure, possibly Pax. Mint name: Probably minted in Rome. Die axis: Possibly 12 o'clock. The coin is circular with slightly irregular broken down edges and surfaces, patches of the original patinated surface on both obverse and reverse but it is in fine worn condition with few details visible especially on the reverse. This coin is likely to date between 43 - 200AD. Ref. Coins of England and the UK, Spink 2014, page 49-55. The coin is 28.7mm long, 27.68mm wide, 3.83mm thick, diameter 28.7mm and weighs 11.8g.
