A silver Medieval coin; a short cross penny of Richard I (AD 1189 - 1199), probably Class 4a dating from AD 1194 - 1200, minted at London by Ricard with an E in place of the C. The coin is 19.1mm diameter, 1.1mm thick and 1.31g. See North (1994) Volume 1, number 965 on page 220.
