Post-medieval button consisting of a flat-sectioned head in high-tin bronze or tin-coated copper alloy and an embedded wire loop on the reverse (almost all lost). The front is engraved in the centre with an elaborate cinquefoil. Chamfered outer edge with break. Diameter 22mm. 1.5mm thick. 17th century.
