A copper-alloy Post-Medieval to modern c.1600-1950 bell clapper.
The clapper consists of a spherical ball clapper, with a drilled hole all the way through from top to bottom. Through this hole a susension loop is attached, method of fastening is uncertain but possibly screwed in. The suspension loop is D-shaped and rises only a small distance from the top of the clapper, trom the suspension loop to S links of chain remain attached. The entire objec tis a dark brown colour suggesting it is not of a great age.
