A post medieval copper alloy button with silvered or tinned surface. AD 1700-1800. The button is circular and domed with rounded top and a hollowed interior. The surface is coated in white metal and decorated with incised lines running across the front surface of the button. The underside of the button is concave and has a small wire loop for attachment which as probably soldered in. The button is 13.2mm diameter, 1mm thick. The height of the dome is 7.2mm. It weighs 2.02 grams.
