Incomplete Roman copper alloy oval plate brooch, most of copper alloy pin lug and catchplate flap and much of the outside edge missing. Glass or enamel inlay missing from the central oval, fragments of two rectangular white and blue enamelled cells survive in the outer border. Mackreth 2011, British Plate 3.a1. Extant length 25mm. Extant width 16mm. 2.5mm thick. 2nd - 3rd century.
