A wall or base sherd of a ceramic vessel, probably of Medieval date. It is 47.8mm long, 39.1mm wide and 9.2mm thick. 19.08g. It does not appear to be curved. The fabric is fairly soft, gritty and irregular to hackly. It has frequent poorly sorted quartz, grit and rounded red (probably red iron ore) inclusions in an orange matrix fading to grey in the core.
