Copper alloy mount. Stamped concavo-convex mount in the form of an eight-pointed star with a central raised boss; the points were each bordered by a series of tiny pellets. Rust in the back of the central boss suggests an iron fixing pin, though this has not exfiltrated to the display face. Bent on one side and abraded. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600.
