Thruxton addenda, HAMPSHIRE
Seven AR miliarenses and 18 siliquae to AD 392 (AD 402)
Twenty five late Roman silver coins (in two denominations, 18 small silver pieces usually called siliquae (sing. siliqua) by modern scholars, and seven examples of their double, miliarenses (sing. miliarensis) were discovered with the use of a metal detector on several days during the course of September-November 2016, and subsequently reported to Finds Liaison Officer at Bristol City Museum, Mr Kurt Adams. The finder had previously discovered 2014 T599 (PAS: GLO-9D7F36) in the same area, similar coins (eight miliarenses and 45 siliquae).

(Note: the norm during the late empire was for colleges of two or more emperors, at least one in the east and one in the west. Mints usually stuck coins honouring the other emperor(s) as well as of their particular territory).
