An incomplete Roman bow brooch, probably a Colchester type two-piece of 1st century AD date. Weight is 8.68g, incomplete length is 22.6mm. The wings measure 32.4mm x 7.8mm and are a flattened C shaped profile. The widest part of the bow measures 13.9mm and tapers to the irregular and worn break at a width of 8.0mm. The bow has a sub-triangular cross-section with lateral flute to either side of a lateral rib the is very pronounced at the head of the brooch, extending out from the rest of the upper surface to a height of 3.8mm.
