An incomplete copper alloy Harness pendant suspension mount of Medieval date (AD 1066-1500). The object is composed of a rectangular plate with an integral rivet projecting from the back of the object, the rivet tapers to a point. Below the plate is a tapering rectangle with two, integral, projecting arms below each of the arms has a circular perforation set at 90 degrees. The perforations would have held an axis bar to accommodate the loop of a horse harness pendant.
The object retains no decoration.
The metal is a dark green in colour with areas of corrosion.
