Possibly the central hinge/swivel fragment of a pair of sewing scissors, dating from the post-medieval period, c. 16th-18th century. The fragment is very worn and the breaks are almost unrecognisable. The way the fragment is shaped - with one slightly more domed/bulbous obverse and a fairly flat reverse, it may be been set against another, identical piece, with a small axis rod or pin holding them together.
