An incomplete copper-alloy dagger guard of late medieval or post-medieval date (circa 1400-1600). Approximately half the guard survives, being broken across the rectangular slot in the centre, though which the tang of the sword would have passed. The underside of the slot is recessed. The guard is of rectangular section, and tapers and curves downwards, giving the entire guard a convex profile. The terminal is slightly swollen.
Similar to CORN-596FDF, though without the pointed central lobe.
