A complete Post Medieval gold finger ring dating to the 17th century. The bezel of the ring is a flat circular disc. There is a central heart lying on one side, contained in a raised circular border around the edge of the disc. The heart is surrounded by incised irregular lines, it is possible there are the remains of adhesive or enamel. The heart is concave, and decorated with incised horizontal lines. Part of the disc has been damaged and folded over.

The shoulders are decorated with a series of raised moulded decoration, which is the same pattern on both sides. There are two moulded lines, followed by a large bell shaped pattern, two smaller bell shaped patterns with a collar either side, followed by three raised moulded lines. This then narrows into the hoop. The hoop is no longer circular, and has been bent into an irregular oval shape. There is no decoration on the inside of the hoop. The ring is a bright yellow gold colour.

The ring hoop measures 22.8mm by 13.8mm, and is 1.3mm wide. The shoulders measure 2.9mm in width. The ring bezel measures 8.1mm by 6.8mm. The ring weighs 1.74g.
