A penny dating to the reign of Coenwulf (AD796-821). Obverse depicts a bust in profile facing right. The inscription reads [--- ]VWCC / REX. The reverse depicts a six-pointed star within a circle. The inscription reads +DER[--- ]VV. Minted by Wihtræd in the Kingdom of East Anglia. Part of the inscription is missing due to damage around the edge.
