Incomplete Roman gilded copper-alloy oval plate brooch with most of the edge, the centre-boss, the spring and the pin missing. The single pin lug and the catchplate and incomplete. The stamped impressions around the flange are S-shaped. In the centre of the front at the base of the recess a thin cross-shaped projection may be solder. Mackreth 2011, British Plate 3.b1. Length 27.8mm. Extant width 17.3mm. 3rd century.
