A sherd from the body of a wheel thrown Roman Samian type vessel dating to c AD 40-230. The sherd comprises of part of the body of a vessel. The outer edge of the sherd is decorated with the top half of an archer right arm raised with braid and draperary border above, a single flower on either side of archer. The fabric is oxidised orange-red colour with gloss slip with fleck of limestone inclusions and areas of reducted brown colour. The vertical layers of the fabric can be seen on the top edge. The fragment weighs 15.21g. It is triangular in shape and measures 74.05mm in length, 6.37mm in width and 23.38mm in height.
