Fragment of a medieval tin-coated copper alloy mount, probably from a box or casket: a D-sectioned bar broken at both ends across an attachment hole. The sides and front face are very slightly convex between transverse ribs, three of which are present, one at a break. Extant length 26mm. Width 6.2 - 7.7mm. Thickness 2.4 - 3.3mm.
