Copper alloy thimble fragment. Pressed metal domed thimble with a stepped foot ring and the wall above bearing close-spaced rhomboid pits which appear to ascend in diagonal rows right to left. The top bears a rectilinear grid or lattice of similarly sized pits. Over half the object is lost. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900.
