Cloth seal fragment. A pair of cast linked discs of thin [0.9mm] sheet or foil with a protrusion from one probably passing through the hole in the middle of the other. A stamped or clamped motif of a bovine or, less likely, equine head facing appears on one side. The other side bears a casually incised graffito of four or five characters in a curvilinear script. Abraded, with a fragment of one disc detached in the course of examination. Suggested date: Post-Meduieval, 1600-1750.
