An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy spur (c. 1650-c. 1800).
Most of the sides and the rowel are missing.
The sides (arms) are 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat on the inner face. It has a long neck extending from the sides which is circular in cross-section. The rowel box is curved at the end and has a corroded iron axis bar to accommodate the rowel. The box contains corroded iron.
There are deposits of iron and iron staining on the sides.
