An incomplate copper-alloy openwork mount, probably a decorative harness fitting dating to the second or third century AD. The fragment comprises a plate consisting of two opposing 'trompetenmuster' motifs, with an assymetrical extension on its left hand side. A single circular-section attachment lug extends from the underside of the plate. The lug is bent. The mount measures 43mm in length, 22mm in width and 3.5mm thick. The mount weighs 6.1 grams. Usually belt fittings possess a greater number of attachment lugs.
