A complete Lead Button of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is discoidal and domed with a flat reverse. The front face of the object retains a relief design consisting of an equilateral four armed cross within a linear cruciform boarder. Within each quadrant are four raised pellets. The reverse is smooth and undecorated and retains an integral attachment loop which in now recurved probably due to post-depositional processes. A pronounced linear casting seam is visible to either side of the loop.
The metal is cream in colour with a predominantly smooth and uncorroded patina.
